Made to measure

Large shower trays made to measure — XXL up to 320×150 cm, seamless

Large XXL solid surface shower tray made to measure, seamless in one piece, with a colour-matched linear channel drain in a wide walk-in shower.

Most shower tray ranges stop at a fixed set of sizes, so a wide walk-in shower or a wellness room ends up with two trays butted together and a join you can feel and have to clean around. We take a different route: we make each shower tray to your exact measurements in solid surface (mineral composite), 24 mm thick, and we can go all the way up to 320×150 cm in a single piece — no join, no seam, no compromise.

If you are planning a large walk-in shower, a barrier-free care bathroom or a hotel and spa fit-out, this page explains exactly how far we can go and what to keep in mind.

When standard sizes fall short

A standard catalogue shower tray is fine until the space isn't. The moment your shower zone is wider than roughly 120–140 cm, off-the-shelf sizes run out and you are left with awkward choices:

  • Two trays placed side by side, with a visible join line that traps water and dirt.
  • A tiled floor with a built-up screed fall — more labour, more grout, and a real risk of leaks over time.
  • Settling for a tray that doesn't quite match the room, leaving dead strips of tile around the edges.

A large shower tray sidesteps all of this. Because we build to your drawing, the tray fills the full footprint of the shower zone, with the fall cast in at the factory and a single drain exactly where you want it. The result is one continuous, waterproof surface instead of a patchwork.

XXL up to 320×150 cm in one piece (no join)

This is where we differ from most makers. Our oversized and XXL shower trays are cast as one piece up to 320×150 cm — large enough for a generous double shower, a wet-room-style walk-in, or a wide care setting.

Why one piece matters for a large shower base:

  • No seam to fail. There is no glued or siliconed join across the floor, so there is nothing to discolour, lift or leak over time.
  • Easier to clean. A continuous solid surface with rounded R2 edges and a matte, slip-resistant microtexture wipes down in seconds — no grout lines across the middle of the shower.
  • Colour-through and repairable. Because it is solid surface, the colour runs through the full 24 mm. A scratch or scuff can be sanded out — unlike a mineral cast tray, where the colour sits only in a thin gelcoat layer on the surface that can't be repaired once it has worn through.
  • A factory-built fall. The slope to the drain is engineered into the tray, so water always runs to the right place — no on-site screeding, no guesswork.

You choose a point drain (centre, left or right) or a linear channel drain, with a colour-matched drain cover (140×140 mm) so the outlet blends into the floor rather than interrupting it.

Special sizes & shapes (cut-outs)

Large bathrooms are rarely perfect rectangles, and that is exactly where a made-to-measure tray earns its keep. Working from your measurements or drawing, we can build the tray around the room rather than the other way around:

  • Cut-outs for walls, pillars, low knee walls and pipework.
  • Angled and notched edges to follow a sloped ceiling in a loft or attic bathroom.
  • Non-standard footprints between 70×70 cm and 320×150 cm, so the tray matches the shower zone precisely.

For any made-to-measure or shaped tray we send you a production drawing to approve before we build, so you can confirm the dimensions, drain position and cut-outs are exactly right.

Weight & installation

A large solid surface tray is a substantial, rigid component, and that solidity is part of why it feels and performs the way it does. A few practical points worth planning for:

  • Plan for two people. An XXL tray is heavy and best handled and set by two people; let us know the access route if stairs or tight corners are involved.
  • A flat, supported base. The tray sits on a level, fully supported subfloor — your installer beds and seals it like any premium tray, with the built-in fall doing the work no screed needs to.
  • One outlet to connect. Because the fall and drain are built in, installation is straightforward: position, bed, seal the perimeter, and connect the single waste.

We are happy to talk your installer or builder through the detail before you order — it is the kind of thing that is much easier to get right on paper than on site.
