A barrier-free shower tray lets you walk — or roll — straight into the shower with no step, no lip and nothing to trip over. We make every tray to measure in 24 mm solid surface, set flush with your bathroom floor for true level access. The surface is slip-resistant and the whole tray is seamless and 100% waterproof, so you get a safer, cleaner shower built around the room you already have.
As a manufacturer since 1986, we make every tray to order in our own workshop in the Netherlands and ship direct, with no middlemen in between.
Accessible & age-friendly showering
A bathroom should keep working for you as your needs change. A barrier-free shower removes the single most common bathroom hazard — the raised edge of a traditional tray — so getting in and out is safe whether you are fully mobile, less steady on your feet, or using a rollator or wheelchair.
Because the tray is made to measure, you are not limited to a standard footprint. You can specify a generous walk-in area, room for a shower seat, or space to turn, all within the layout of your existing bathroom. That makes it a practical choice for ageing-in-place renovations and for carers who need room to assist comfortably.
Solid surface is warm to the touch rather than cold like ceramic, and it stays comfortable underfoot. It is also colour-through and fully repairable, so the tray is built to last for the long term rather than something you replace in a few years.
Level access & step-free (low threshold)
True level access means the top of the tray sits flush with the surrounding floor. There is no raised rim and no step to climb over — you cross from the bathroom floor onto the shower surface without changing height. Where a fully recessed installation is not possible, a very low threshold can be an alternative, but the goal is always to keep the transition as flat as we can.
Even though the surface is level to walk on, the fall toward the drain is built into the tray at the factory. You do not have to create the slope on site or rely on the tiler to get it right — the water runs to the drain by design. You can choose a point drain (centre, left or right) or a linear channel drain that keeps the whole surface looking flat and even, which often suits a barrier-free layout best. The 140×140 mm drain cover is colour-matched to the tray for a clean, integrated finish.
Slip-resistant without mats
Safety underfoot comes from the tray itself, not from accessories. The surface has a fine matte microtexture and a rounded R2 edge that give grip whether the floor is wet or dry. That means no loose rubber mats sliding around, no stick-on strips peeling at the corners, and no suction-cup mats trapping water and growing mould underneath.
Because the texture is part of the solid surface — not a coating sprayed on top — it does not wear away, peel or lose its grip over time. The seamless, one-piece construction also means there are no grout lines or joints where dirt and limescale collect, so the tray stays hygienic and easy to wipe clean.
Made to measure for any existing or care bathroom
Every barrier-free tray is cut to your dimensions, from 70×70 up to 320×150 cm. We can add cut-outs for walls, pillars and sloped ceilings, so the tray fits the real shape of your room instead of forcing a compromise. This made-to-measure approach is what makes it realistic to upgrade an existing or care bathroom without rebuilding the whole space.
You can choose from 7 standard colours or more than 60 NCS custom colours to match your tiles, walls and drain cover, and we send up to 3 free colour samples so you can decide with the material in your hand. For a level-access installation the floor build-up needs a recess to drop the tray into; tell us about your floor and we will advise on exactly what is needed.
If you would like to compare materials: our trays are full solid surface (mineral composite), which is colour-through and repairable. That is different from mineral cast, which is a core covered with a thin gelcoat surface — once the gelcoat is damaged it cannot be restored the same way. You may also see these trays called a shower base or shower pan; it is the same product.
