Who is Marlan?
Marlan started in 1986 and has been working with solid surface ever since. In that time the trends have changed, but our approach has not: we design and produce every shower tray to the exact size of your bathroom, in our own workshop in the Netherlands.
That continuity matters. As a dedicated solid surface manufacturer we know the material inside out — how it casts, how it bonds into a single seamless piece, and how it behaves after years of daily use. When you call us, you reach the people who actually make your tray, not a call centre.

Direct from the manufacturer, no middlemen
We sell directly to you. Because there is no chain of distributors and retailers between us, you deal with the source — and you pay for the product, not for everyone else's margin along the way.
Working directly also means clear communication. You tell us your dimensions, drain position and colour; we confirm them, and for any made-to-measure tray we send you a production drawing to approve before we start cutting. Nothing goes into production until you have signed it off, so there are no surprises when your tray arrives.

Our quality
A Marlan shower tray is made from massive solid surface — a mineral composite that is 24 mm thick and colour-through. Because the colour runs through the entire material, a scratch or scuff sands out and the tray stays fully repairable for its whole life.
It is cast as one seamless piece, so there are no joints, no grout lines and nowhere for water or dirt to collect. The surface is 100% waterproof, with a built-in fall towards the drain and a matte, slip-resistant microtexture finished with a soft rounded R2 edge. The drain cover is colour-matched and supplied to suit a point drain (centre, left or right) or a linear channel drain.
A quick word on materials, because the names get mixed up:
- Solid surface — the mineral composite we use. The colour runs through the full thickness, so it is fully repairable.
- Mineral cast — a gelcoat-coated surface where only the top layer carries the colour and finish. Damage that reaches through the coating cannot simply be sanded out.
We make our trays from solid surface for exactly that reason: it keeps looking good for years and stays serviceable.
Delivery & service across Europe
We deliver across Europe, straight from our workshop. Standard sizes are produced quickly; made-to-measure trays follow once you have approved the production drawing. Typical lead time is around 6 weeks.
Ordering is straightforward and there is no online payment. You receive an order confirmation and a payment request — a deposit of at most 50% — and for made-to-measure orders you first approve the production drawing. Standard sizes run from €684 to €1,018 incl. VAT, and made-to-measure trays start from €695 incl. VAT (plus shipping).
